Pet lovers, such as Michelle Lidh pictured here, came together to create this resource to help educate on lifetime pet ownership. Most of our day-to-day dialogue takes place on Facebook (click on the Facebook box below), but the blog here is designed to provide further information. Here is why this resource exists:
1) To educate our community on issues affecting animals, such as military breed bans, pet limit policies, military pet education programs, Lost and Found, spay/neuter, military working/therapy/service dog programs, Trap-Neuter-Return and foster/adoption programs.
2) To advocate for pet educational programs and bring about policies and laws protecting animals within The Department of Defense and federal/state governments.
3) To build a more pet-friendly military community on Oahu by providing pet resources for service members through partnerships with shelters, pet companies, leaders in military family programs, the media, command and community leaders, and those in the public wishing to support the troops.
